Casting is Complete for World Premiere of "Support Group for Men"

The world’s changing, bro. This summer, Goodman Theatre premieres Support Group for Men, a new comedy by Ellen Fairey, directed by Kimberly Senior. Fairey, whose work has been hailed "a must-see for anyone who follows important new plays" (Chicago Tribune), explores shifting social and gender roles through the lens of four men who gather every Thursday night to vent about middle-aged maladies. Support Group for Men was developed in the Goodman’s 2016 New Stages Festival and features a 7-member cast including Anthony Irons as Delano; Ryan Kitley as Brian; Keith Kupferer as Roger; Jeff Louis Kurysz as Alex; Tommy Rivera-Vega as Kevin; Sadieh Rifai as (Officer Delgado) and Eric Slater as (Officer Novack).

Lifeline Theatre Presents Neil Gaiman’s Neverwhere, Opens June 4

Lifeline Theatre presents Neil Gaiman’s Neverwhere, adapted by ensemble member Robert Kauzlaric and directed by Pegasus Theatre Executive Artistic Director Ilesa Duncan. Kauzlaric’s adaptation of Neverwhere premiered at Lifeline in 2010 and garnered three Non-Equity Jeff Awards (New Adaptation, Scenic Design, and Sound Design). After receiving dozens of productions across the U.S., Canada, England, and Ireland, Neverwhere returns home for the first time, with an entirely new production helmed by Duncan.

The story of visionary architect Daniel H. Burnham and Chicago’s great World’s Fair comes to life in Lost and Found Productions’ world premiere musical BURNHAM’S DREAM: THE WHITE CITY, with book and lyrics by June Finfer, music and lyrics by Elizabeth Doyle, direction by Erik Wagner, music direction by Paul W. Thompson and choreography by Jessica Texidor. Celebrating the 125th anniversary of the 1893 World’s Fair, this lively new musical will play June 2 – July 1, 2018 at Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont Ave. in Chicago.

The Factory Theater presents the world premiere of The Adventures of Spirit Force Five, playing June 29 – August 11 at the Factory Theater, 1623 W. Howard St. The new play is written by Jill Oliver and directed by Spenser Davis. Previews are Friday, June 29 and Saturday, June 30 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, July 1 at 3 p.m. Opening night is Friday, July 6 at 8 p.m. Performance times during the regular run, July 7 – August 11, are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m.
