Theatre at the Center was rocking with the music of Eliminator: The Premier ZZ Top Tribute on January 24th with plenty of fans of their bluesy sound in the audience.
I was enjoyably surprised at how much I enjoyed "A Christmas Show Tribute to Sinatra and Friends" starring Robbie Howard at Theatre at the Center. Since I don’t care for Frank Sinatra – I know, don’t judge – I didn’t expect to like it.
The Janis Joplin Tribute, Forever Janis, October 15th at Theatre at the Center was not worth the time or the money. The tribute artist, who never disclosed her name – not in the program, not on the website – had a voice more suited to Dolly Parton than Janis Joplin.
The Gone to Paradise concert at Theatre at the Center on September 19th was just as much fun as their first TATC concert in 2024. As a Parrothead from way back, I can honestly say that their concerts are almost as much fun as an actual Jimmy Buffet concert – and I saw many of those!
The sounds of Mexican Mariachi music starred on stage recently at The Auditorium Theatre in Chicago.
Music fans recently had the opportunity to enjoy a performance by the popular Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlan when the group brought its 2025 EL Legato Tour show to Chicago. It proved to be a night mixing exuberant, romantic and melodious sounds that easily drew audience members in.
The annual Happy Together tour landed recently at Four Winds Casino in New Buffalo, Michigan.

Tucker covered a great selection from Tim McGraw’s songbook including: “ Indian Outlaw,” “Don’t Take the Girl,” “I Like It, I Love It,” “Where the Green Grass Grows,” and “My Next Thirty Years.”
