Lake County- Tuesday, January 19th, morning at 10:15 a.m., troopers from the ISP Lowell Post stopped a maroon 2006 Honda passenger car on I-65 northbound near exit 240 (Lowell) for a traffic violation.

Governor Eric J. Holcomb addressed the Indiana General Assembly on Tuesday as he virtually delivered his 2021 State of the State. The Governor focused on how to seize the challenges presented by the pandemic and turn them into opportunities.

Except for on the short streets that are located on the northwest side of town, vehicles in town must be removed from the street when two inches of snow have fallen so that town trucks can clear the roads (vehicles on the short streets must park on one side of the street) . Violators can be cited and/or eventually towed by the police department.

January is National Human Trafficking Awareness Month, as decreed by presidential proclamation. It is a key time for us all as individuals to educate ourselves about human trafficking and crucially to learn to spot the signs of trafficking.

LaPorte County- On Friday, January 15th, at 12:30 p.m., Trooper Thomas Maymi was working on the Indiana Toll Road near the 52 mile-marker.  Trp. Maymi was parked observing traffic when a semi stopped on the westbound side of the interstate.

This Monday, January 18th, morning at 12:45 a.m., troopers from the ISP Lowell Post responded to a single vehicle crash on I-65 southbound at the exit ramp to Ridge Rd.
