Entering the series with Gateway this week the Boomers own a 1.5 game lead in the West Division and have the second-best record in the league with 51 wins. The magic number to secure a playoff spot is sitting at 4 with the possibility to clinch at home this week. The number to win the Division is at 12 and can significantly change this week with the series against second place Gateway.
The playoffs begin on September 3rd with a best of three series in the Wild Card Round with the higher seeded team hosting games two and three. The Division Series follows with a best of 5 series. Home field has already been determined for the championship series and will be a best of five with the winner of the Midwest Conference hosting games 3-5.
