The School of American Music (SAM) is pleased to announce its Annual Spring Fundraiser, A Night of Blues & Giving, featuring the high-energy, award-winning Resurrection Blues Band on Friday, April 24 at 8:00 PM at The Acorn Theater in Three Oaks. The event is part of the community-wide celebration of Art Attack Weekend, making it a highlight of an already vibrant arts weekend.

This special evening of live music and community support will raise critical funds to help SAM continue offering Free Family Concerts, Free Community Sing-Alongs, its Annual Holiday Concert, and other new music education and community programs currently in development. Proceeds from the event directly support SAM’s mission to make music education and participation accessible to all, regardless of their ability to pay.

The Resurrection Blues Band is known for their electrifying performances and deep connection with audiences, delivering soulful, high-energy blues that promise to make this a can’t-miss night of music. Whether you’re a longtime blues fan or new to the genre, this concert offers an unforgettable live music experience in an intimate theater setting.

In addition to the concert, the evening will feature a Silent Auction, highlighted by an extraordinary item: a vintage Fender guitar donated by Garth Taylor. This piece is expected to be a major draw for music lovers and collectors alike.

Tickets will go on sale later this month, with General Admission tickets starting at $45. A limited number of VIP Packages will also be available, offering access to a pre-show reception and Meet & Greet with the band beginning at 6:00 PM Eastern. VIP guests will enjoy an elevated experience while directly supporting SAM’s educational and community-focused programs.

“This event is not only a celebration of incredible local music, but also an opportunity for our community to come together in support of arts education,” said Heidi Smith, Executive Director of the School of American Music. “A Night of Blues & Giving helps ensure that music remains accessible, welcoming, and a vital part of life throughout Harbor Country.”

This is truly a don’t-miss event - combining exceptional live music, community spirit, and meaningful impact.

Tickets will go on sale soon.
