South Shore Arts brings the festive warmth of the traditional holiday artists market into the Bachman gallery, this year, with its first annual Evergreen Artisan Market. The gallery, traditionally festooned with paintings and sculptures, has been transformed into a festive wonderland. Twinkling string lights and the scent of cinnamon and pine will greet visitors as they step into this winter celebration. Local artisans, craftspeople, and confectioners showcase their handmade treasures. Over twenty booths will be filled to the brim with different handmade works, from intricate ornaments and handwoven scarves to ceramics and breads.
To set the Evergreen Artisan Market apart, South Shore Arts will offer a variety of free, interactive art-making activities led by local artists and craftspeople. Weekly demonstrations, such as ceramic wheel throwing, painting, and block printing, will offer a behind-the-scenes look at the various artworks and crafts available in the market. More than just a holiday market, the Evergreen Artisan Market will be a living town square where the spirit of art making is as important as the celebration itself.
