Taking the Stage: The Saxy Six! 5 female saxophonists from the states of Florida and Texas and yours truly Ernie D. Shelby aka Lady Sax® from Gary, Indiana.
Ernie D. Shelby aka Lady Sax® started a Facebook Page several years ago called "Sax Girls Rock!" When promoting her Domestic Violence Awareness Concert in the mid 2000's, she befriended and retained Joyce Spencer out of Texas who had joined the Facebook Group. After that, the idea grew into 
a concept much like Dave Koz's Summer Horns. Given that , Dave's concept usually featured all male saxophonists in those concerts; Ernie decided that an all female saxophonists lineup was due. In 2024, she premiered the concept in Las Vegas, Nevada. This year, the same talented musicians returned for the "sophomore" presentation in the Northwest Indiana/ Chicago region.
General Admission Open Seating Concert/Dinner tickets are available for $75 by Zelle at 219-313-2414. (no processing fees) For Chamber members from any Northwest Indiana Chamber, purchasing a General Admission Table (10 seats) or more; I will discount the total price by 5%. Also, for those of you who want to make it a road trip or mini getaway; the Ramada Inn is adjacent to the venue! Your room would be walking distance from the ballroom. Let me know by October 21, 2025; so I could get you a discounted rate.
This concert will be the real deal!!! The 2024 Vegas premier was a success and received rave reviews, according to the "Everything Saxophone Podcast", Founder; Donna Swatrz.
