
Students will learn how to edit photos as well as add borders, text layers, and special effects. Sample projects will include advertising layouts, digital scrapbooking, and other types of composite images. Participants should bring a laptop with Elements or a similar program installed if they want to follow along, although it is not required. Deb will provide a detailed outline with links to resources they can find online. Here is a list of topics that will be covered in class -
*Work Flow - workspace, view, rulers, guides + more
*File formats - image size and quality
*Image adjustments - size, color, brightness, contrast, hue, saturation
*Filters
*Tools - selection, move, crop, clone (healing / patch), brushes, eraser, gradient, dodge & burn, blur, text, color picker, hand
*Transform, copy, paste, blending modes, masking, canvas size, stroke borders
*Layers - what are they and why do I need them?
The cost for the Photoshop Elements class is $80, with members of the Art Center receiving a $20 discount. The class size is limited to (12) students.
