On March 18, Legacy Foundation hosted “Permission to Pause,” a luncheon focused on mindfulness, connection, and leadership.
Held at Gamba Ristorante in Merrillville and sponsored by Bank of America, It was energizing to gather nonprofit and community leaders for a meaningful conversation about leadership, well-being, and connection.
Featured speaker Nadene Cherry, a mindset and performance partner, shared powerful insights on navigating high-pressure environments. Her message was clear: the key to transforming pressure into peace isn’t doing more, it’s giving yourself permission to pause.
Throughout the afternoon, attendees explored practical strategies rooted in the “three C’s”:
- Calmness
- Self-compassion
- Connection
We’re grateful to our speakers and panelists for sharing honest insights and actionable tools, and we hope these practices continue to support you in your work and leadership.
We look forward to continuing this conversation and welcoming you to future Legacy Foundation events.
