It has come to our attention that several individuals have recently received phishing emails impersonating the Indiana Department of Administration (IDOA), including messages falsely appearing to come from IDOA Commissioner Brandon Clifton. These emails are being sent from non-government accounts, such as Gmail or ZohoSign, and reference items like “business proposals,” “new project initiatives,” “real-time images,” or digital signature requests.
These messages did not originate from IDOA. If you receive one, please delete it immediately and do not open any attachments or click on any links. Official IDOA communications will never come from a personal email domain such as Gmail, nor will they request document signatures without prior coordination.
If you receive a document to sign that appears to be from IDOA, please confirm its legitimacy with the contract manager or state employee you have been working with before taking any action.
Thank you for your attention to this matter and for helping us maintain a secure communication environment.
