Wed, 11/27/2019 - 5:10pm by laughingcat

Celebrate the Holidays Symphony style as the Northwest Indiana Symphony and conductor Kirk Muspratt present their annual “Holiday Pops,” with 3 performances, Wednesday, December 11; Thursday, December 12; and Friday, December 13 all at 7:30 pm at the Auditorium at Living Hope Church. The concert will feature the Northwest Indiana Symphony Chorus, directed by Nancy Menk, Plum Grove Strings, and the Crown Point High School Choir.

Our annual Holiday Pops has become a favorite way to celebrate the festive season. With a mix of classic and contemporary holiday music and the Chorus-led carol sing-along, you’re sure to hear all your fa-la-la favorites. Share this seasonal tradition with your family! Tickets range from $35 - $75 and students are $10.

Bring a donation of any non-perishable food item to the concert to benefit the Northwest Indiana Food Bank. Food items can also be dropped off at the Symphony offices in the Center for Visual and Performing Arts in Munster, at the Women’s Association’s Festival of Trees Luncheon in the Center on December 4, and at the Youth Orchestra Concert on November 24 at Hobart Middle School.

After a season of following the music to a number of local venues, the Symphony is happy to announce they have a new home, the Auditorium at Living Hope Church, 9000 Taft Street, on the Merrillville/Crown Point border. “We received so many rave reviews of this venue last year, from its intimate setting to it superb acoustics, we are so excited for everyone to experience it,” Maestro Muspratt said.  “One Symphony. One Home.”

Tickets for the concert range from $35 -$75 each, concert season subscriptions are still available, and GROUP SALES ARE AVAILABLE AT A DISCOUNT.  Call the Symphony office at (219) 836-0525 or visit the website at www.NISOrchestra.org to order tickets for Holiday Pops!

This concert is sponsored by BMO Harris Bank, John W. Anderson Foundation, The Times, NIPSCO, Precision Control Systems, The Neale Family Foundation, MonoSol, Vidimos, Inc., John Cicco’s Menswear, Mechanical Concepts, Inc., Hammond Machine Works, Indiana University Northwest, and Crown Point Community Foundation.
