This six-week course allows residents to learn more about the roles and duties of our town’s police officers. The classes will be held on 3/9, 3/16, 3/30, 4/6, 4/13, and 4/20 and will run from 6:30pm to 8:00pm on those Monday evenings at the police station. Classes will include community policing, patrol procedures, traffic stops, crime scene investigations, shoot/don’t shoot scenarios, K-9, SWAT, and a tour of the Lake County Dispatch Center.
Each participant who completes the program will also receive a 4-hour ride along with a Munster Police officer. Participants must be Munster residents, age 18 or older.
