The donations will be used to help purchase curriculum materials for our town’s D.A.R.E. Program during the school year.
The Munster Police Department’s D.A.R.E. Program has been going strong for over 30 years now in Munster, and provides instruction to approximately 2,000 kids in grades K-8 on subjects ranging from stranger-danger, internet safety, drug prevention, bullying prevention, and more.
The program is funded completely through donations and would not be possible without generous donations such as these from the Lions and Rotary. We appreciate their continued support of our department’s efforts to educate our town’s young people about many safety topics throughout the year.
