Rather than simply adding positions, we’re welcoming perspectives that deepen our connection to the community.
Donna Stuckert: Strengthening Local Storytelling & Community Connection
Donna steps into the role of Community News & Initiatives Manager with a passion for ensuring residents have access to the information that shapes their daily lives. She brings years of regional communications experience and a belief that local stories are essential to a strong community.
Donna will work with media outlets, nonprofits, and neighborhood partners to:
- Expand access to trusted, local news through Press Forward Lake County
- Elevate the voices and experiences of Lake County residents
- Support initiatives that keep people informed, connected, and engaged
Her work will help ensure that community stories aren’t just told, they’re heard.
Claudia Ruiz: Growing Community Engagement & Expanding Legacy’s Reach
As our new Development and Marketing Manager, Claudia brings a fresh, community-driven approach to the way Legacy engages with supporters and neighbors throughout Lake County. Her nonprofit experience in Northwest Indiana, paired with a communications background from Purdue University Northwest fuels her commitment to meaningful, accessible outreach.
Claudia is excited to deepen relationships across the region by:
- Strengthening Legacy’s visibility and community presence
- Supporting development efforts, like the Lake County Forever campaign, that make long-term impact possible
- Sharing stories that show what’s possible when a community invests in itself
She brings creativity, curiosity, and a people-first mindset that aligns beautifully with Legacy’s mission.
