The LCPL Foundation's annual Read-a-Thon is an exciting challenge in which students pledge to read as much as they can to raise money.
Read-a-Thon readers can earn a ribbon, a trophy, or one of our special top prizes depending on how much they read!
In 2025, readers broke all previous , raising over $85,000! Let's see if we can match that this year. We'll be reading from January 12-February 23. We hope you'll join us!

Speak to a lawyer for free! Lawyers from the Lake County Bar Association will be available for legal consultation at Lake Station-New Chicago Branch throughout MLK Day.
Sessions are 15 minutes and offered on a first come, first serve basis; you can arrive any time from 12:30-6:30, but please RSVP to let us know how many to expect!

Answer: Yes! We have a database called Creativebug, which offers over a thousand classes for makers, crafters, learners, and hobbyits! Videos posted by experienced instructors will help you learn how to do all the stitches to crochet a cute beanie hat.
