
You have the right to vote in Indiana if:
- You are both a U.S. citizen and resident of Indiana; and
- You will be at least 18 years of age on or before November 3, 2020, and
- You are currently not in prison after being convicted of a crime; and
- You have lived in the precinct where you vote for at least 30 days prior to the election; and
- You are registered to vote.
Register to Vote
Online
Visit IndianaVoters.com to register online. Indiana residents with a valid Indiana driver's license or Indiana state-issued ID card will be able to use this tool to submit a new voter registration application or to update an existing voter registration record. This online form must be submitted by 11:59 pm on October 5, 2020.
In-Person
Visit your county's election office during regular business hours to register in-person. You will be asked to fill out a voter registration form. If you live in Lake County, Indiana you can visit the Lake County Election Office before 4:30 pm on Monday, October 5.

Download and print the voter registration form. You are able to type your responses in the document, but you must print the application and hand sign. A wet signature is required; digital signatures will not be accepted. Completed voter registration applications must be postmarked by Monday, October 5, 2020.
