
The primary responsibilities of an Automotive Mechanic are to keep all state owned vehicles in the best mechanical operating condition by performing preventative maintenance and assigned repairs.
A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required as well as a valid driver’s license. You must be a graduate of an automotive trade school or have at least 2 year's of experience in automotive maintenance and repair. Candidates may be considered for Automotive Mechanic III position if either 2 years’ experience or graduation from an automotive trade school requirement is not met.
Pay starts at $24,414.00 per year for Automotive Mechanic II and $21,616.00 per year. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plans and accrued time off.
