Rosemont’s Parkway Bank Park entertainment district is thrilled to kick off the holiday season with the return of its Chicago Wolves Ice Rink. Weather permitting, the rink will open Friday, Nov. 27 at 11 a.m. In order to ensure social distancing this year, the outdoor ice rink will limit capacities and advance ice skating reservations are required. 45-minute skating reservations and ice skate rentals can be facilitated online at www.parkwaybankpark.com. Parkway Bank Park will begin taking reservations for ice skating Monday, November 23 at 3 p.m. CT.
“As we welcome visitors back to the ice rink this year, they can expect to find the same holiday fun of years past in an environment designed to keep them safe and comfortable,” said Rosemont Mayor Brad Stephens.
Parkway Bank Park has implemented several new health and safety procedures to ensure the safety of its staff and guests including but not limited to skater temperature checks upon arrival and enhanced cleaning of high-touch surfaces. Face masks are required by staff and by skaters entering the skating tent. Skaters are encouraged to continue wearing their face masks while skating.
Admission to the Chicago Wolves Ice Rink is free, however a credit card is required to hold reservations. Guests are invited to bring their own skates or skate rentals are available online for $8. Guests with reservations who fail to appear for their skating time will incur a $8 per person fee. Refunds will be given to guests with reservations that are cancelled due to rink closure caused by inclement weather or COVID-19 mandates.
The Chicago Wolves Ice Rink at Parkway Bank Park will be open every day through January 5, 2021. In addition to special holiday hours, the rink will also be open on Sundays through February 28. A detailed schedule of ice skating hours can be found below. Skaters concerned about inclement weather are encouraged to call the Parkway Bank Park hotline at 847-349-5008 or visit the Park’s Facebook or Instagram for updates regarding rink hours.
