Hoosiers Dominate Bruins, Roll to 50-Point Win
Curt Cignetti's No. 2 Hoosiers delivered another dominant win Saturday afternoon in Bloomington, crushing UCLA 56-6 in front of 54,867 fans to improve to 8-0.
Indiana’s defense set the tone immediately, as linebacker Aiden Fisher snatched an interception on the second play of the game and returned it 25 yards for a touchdown. It was one of three forced turnovers for an Indiana defense that limited UCLA to 201 yards of total offense and just 1-of-11 on third downs.
Offensively, quarterback Fernando Mendoza completed 15-of-22 passes for 168 yards and three touchdowns, while also adding a 20-yard rushing score. Running back Roman Hemby led the ground attack with 81 yards and two touchdowns. Receiver E.J. Williams Jr. was Mendoza’s favorite target, recording his first career 100-yard receiving game and two touchdowns.
The Hoosiers' final regular season home game is Nov. 15 against Wisconsin. The game is sold out, but fans can still explore secondary ticket market options such as SeatGeek below.
