There's a party going on this week at Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana.
The casino, which calls Gary home, is celebrating its 5th anniversary in a big way. This special anniversary will be celebrated with a variety of attractions and events, including special concerts, promotions and more.
"There's something for everyone to enjoy, " said Christi Hardesty, vice president of marketing for Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana. "Entertainment is a core part of the brand and that's really what will set the stage for this week," Hardesty said, adding there will be a mix of ticketed shows and free shows presented.

While the gaming floor has much excitement, Hardesty added the casino has offered more than the gaming aspect through the past five years.
Everything from the live entertainment to restaurants and shopping at its Rock Shop is available to patrons of Hard Rock.
Hardesty said the memorabilia displayed in cases around the casino adds another dimension to a visit to Hard Rock and offers fans "a chance to see a piece of memorabilia from their favorite artists."

She mentioned that new on the scene are more than 50 additional pieces of memorabilia that are on display in Hard Rock Live's lobby area. One of the highlighted items is an electric bass played by Billy Corgan at the first Smashing Pumpkins show. Another is the guitar that Michael Jackson smashes in the "Scream" video. (Only concert attendees of Hard Rock Live can see that memorabilia since you must have a show ticket to get into that area.)
"The new memorabilia displays feature artists from Illinois and Indiana," Hardesty said.
Another highlight for the 5th anniversary is a month-long earning promotion in the High Limit Slot Room for a Porsche Cayenne. And a 5th anniversary commemorative pin is also available for purchase in the Rock Shop.
Concert highlights this week for the anniversary celebration are Lorna Shore, May 14, at Hard Rock Live; Stephanie Mills and Shalamar, May 15, at Hard Rock Live; Marcy Playground, May 15, at Hard Rock Café Stage; Gucci Mane with the Masterclass Tour, May 16, at Hard Rock Live; and Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, May 16 at Hard Rock Café Stage.
