All Essential Employees of Lake County Government (Sheriff’s Police,Corrections, Clerk’s and 911 Communications staff) continue their work as usual to ensure the safety of the residents and visitors to Lake County, Indiana. Employees are further instructed to seek direction from their immediate supervisor for direction on specific job assignments during this closure
The Lake County sheriff's office, adjacent to the government center, remains open to the public between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. weekdays for law enforcement matters, essential administrative services and mandatory reporting requirements.
