On Wednesday, Oct. 7, the Fire will travel to face Sporting KC at Children’s Mercy Park at 7:30 p.m. CT (ESPN+, 105.1 WOJO-HD2). The pregame show, presented by CIBC, will begin at 7:15 p.m. CT on ESPN+. Wednesday’s game will not air on WGN-TV as Channel 9 will be airing the Vice Presidential debate that night.

On Sunday, Oct. 11, the Fire will return to Soldier Field to face D.C. United on the lakefront. Beginning at 6:30 p.m. CT, Sunday’s match will be broadcast live on WGN-TV and ESPN+ and transmitted locally in Spanish on 105.1 WOJO-HD2. The pregame show, presented by CIBC, will begin at 6:15 p.m. CT on ESPN+.

The Fire (4-7-4, 16 points) enter the week unbeaten in its last three league games (2-0-1). In its most recent match, the Club earned a hard-fought point in a 2-2 draw on the road against the Montreal Impact at Red Bull Arena on Saturday. Forward Robert Berić scored for a fifth consecutive game – matching a Club record for consecutive games with a goal – while team captain and defender Francisco Calvo scored the game-tying goal to notch his first of the season.

Sporting KC (7-5-2, 23 points) are currently in third place in the Western Conference standings. The Club recently snapped a two-game losing streak on Saturday after defeating the Houston Dynamo 2-1 at BBVA Stadium. Forward Alan Pulido scored a brace in the 2-1 victory. The Fire lead the all-time head-to-head regular season series with Sporting KC with a 26-17-11 record dating back to 1998.

Sitting in last place in the East, D.C. United (2-8-5, 11 points) is winless in its last six matches, including three straight losses. In its most recent fixture, the team suffered a 4-0 defeat to Atlanta United FC at home. Prior to facing the Fire, D.C. will travel to Yankee Stadium to face New York City FC on Wednesday, Oct. 7 at 7:00 p.m. CT. The Fire’s all-time regular season record against D.C. United currently stands at 20-23-18.
