Upon the officer’s arrival there were no reports of injuries although there was damage to the building and two vehicles. It was quickly learned that this was an isolated incident between two groups of individuals who were in the middle of a feud involving a female.
It was determined that four individuals arrived at approximately 10:30pm in three vehicles with the intent to confront the business owner over what had been said about the female subject. All four suspects exited their vehicles, approached the store, where they began to vandalize both the inside and outside of the business and multiple shots were fired.
During this, the store owner’s brother arrived on scene and fired his handgun in the direction of the four suspects. All four suspects fled back to their vehicles where one of the suspects got back out and began to charge at the brother, firing multiple times in his direction. The four suspects were each charged with alleged attempted murder, attempted battery by means of a deadly weapon and criminal recklessness following an investigation by our police department.
