“BTE is thrilled beyond measure to receive this honor,” said Canaday Howard. Four years ago, the very existence of BTE was in question and it was the community that advocated for our return and inspired us to push onward. Each season since then has been more successful than the last and we see this honor as not only an acknowledgement of all our hard work, but an affirmation that the faith the community placed in us was not in vain and recognition of BTE’s place as a valuable, enduring artistic entity and member of Glen Ellyn.”
The Glen Ellyn Community Awards are presented annually by the Glen Ellyn Chamber of Commerce and the Village Fair Committee to recognize all those who make Glen Ellyn a wonderful place to live, learn, work, dine, shop and play. Awardees are annually chosen by the votes of the community and are presented in the categories of Business, which contains Non-Profit of the year, Civic and Service
