As graduation approaches, Bishop Noll salutatorian Sara Seleb and valedictorian Noah Hahn are preparing to trade the world of 1519 Hoffman Street for the real world. While one looks toward studying ocean life, the other is focused on the fast lane of entrepreneurship.
Hahn’s high school career has been an exercise in building, both his résumé and his own electric car. The custom-built two-seater he designed and fabricated himself is running and he hopes to finish the bodywork and have it street legal this summer.
At Noll, Hahn participates in Drama Club and Academic Super Bowl, and tried wrestling, cheer and volleyball in high school.
Hahn plans to study business and received a direct admit to the IU Kelley School of Business, though he’s still weighing options from several east and west coast schools.
His 10-year plan is ambitious: finish his degree and launch his own business.
“I’ll have my dream cars and travel a bit, but I won’t retire. I’ve considered politics a bit; maybe I’ll try being a senator for fun some day.”
Seleb, a fixture in band, Drama Club and NHS for all four years, said her time as the clarinet section leader is her proudest achievement.
Her favorite memories involve the Service Club. “I love everything that they do," she said. "I think it’s a good way to help out in our area and make a difference.”
That drive to contribute will follow her to the west coast, where she plans to major in marine biology. Seleb intends to keep her faith central by finding a new church community where she can continue volunteering. Her advice to her freshman self is "Learn from your mistakes, and become a better person after having made them."
