Our 17th annual Lakeshore Classic is coming soon. As in the past, we are seeking your support for this amazing event. The Classic is an event benefiting the entire region that attracts teams, students, and adults from the state and Chicagoland on Friday & Saturday, December 5 & 6. In addition to stellar athletic play, the Lakeshore Classic has as its purpose to encourage the participants to focus on education, sportsmanship, and CIVILITY, always being the Lakeshore Classic’s theme.
On Tuesday, December 2, our Classic Corporate Luncheon will be held at Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana, where we will feature a prominent guest speaker. The Gary Chamber of Commerce is proud to host events that encourage our young people, provide an outlet for our citizens, and demonstrate that Northwest Indiana is a destination place. Please note: Hard Rock Casino is a facility for individuals 21 years of age or older.
There are several levels of sponsorship and advertising opportunities available, and we are counting on your support. If it is truly about the kids, then it is also about your support to help them achieve future success. Make your business an advocate and a reason why our youth will have a path to achieve their goals. Game tickets are available on Eventbrite.

When you attend the Friday, December 5th, of the Lakeshore Classic, we encourage you to wear your high school or college tee-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, caps, or simply the colors representing your chosen educational institution. We deem it important for our students to see that you, as parents and community partners, ascended from the same structure and foundation that is currently being provided for them. We want to see as many schools as possible represented and lest we forget ….. It’s for the kids.

Greek organizations have been a staple of campus life and alumni/community engagement for many years. The positive enrichment in the lives of young people is invaluable. On Saturday, December 6th, we are encouraging you to adorn your attire, paraphernalia, symbols, and any of the trappings that recognize you as a member of one of these noble institutions. Fraternities and Sororities are the essence of mentorship. Let our children see who you are and what you represent. It’s for the kids.
