Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating after recovering the bodies of two juveniles from the White River in Martin County just west of the Lawrence County line.

The Schaumburg Boomers capped a roadswing through Canada with a 5-1 record by virtue of a 5-4 sudden death win over the Trois-Riveres Aigles to sweep the weekend series.

The Gary SouthShore RailCats (11-11) could not get their offense going as a stellar Sioux Falls Canaries (9-13) pitching display led them to a 1-0 win.

Playing the first regular season professional baseball game in Montreal since the Expos departed in 2004, the Schaumburg Boomers led wire-to-wire in a 5-1 victory over the Trois-Rivieres Aigles at a sold-out Gary Carter Stadium on Saturday night.

Chicago Fire FC (3-5-8, 17 points) fell 1-0 to FC Cincinnati (12-1-3, 39 points) at TQL Stadium on Saturday night.

Though they trailed by at least three runs on two separate occasions, the Gary SouthShore RailCats (11-10) refused to give up.  A pair of furious comebacks helped them snatch victory from the jaws of defeat as they took down the Sioux Falls Canaries (8-13) 11-10.

Schererville Parks and the Town of Schererville will be hosting their annual Celebrate Schererville Fest. Park St. will be closed from 12am, Monday, June 5th to 6pm, Monday, June 12th in preparation for and during the fest.

On Saturday, June 10th, the Schererville Parks and Recreation Department, in coordination with the Town of Schererville, will be hosting the Annual Celebrate Schererville Parade.  This year’s parade theme will be “WE THE PEOPLE.”
