The Play Selection committee of Footlight Players in Michigan City is looking for one act plays, preferably by local playwrights. These should be suited for all audiences and have small casts (social distancing ya know).

Yesterday (08/07/2020) at approximately 1:00 p.m. a young man by the name of Malachi Fronczak presented Lieutenant Tom McKee, Commander of the Indiana State Police Lafayette Post, a check for $1,987.25 that he raised selling his Malachi”s Magnificent Lemonade (MML). The money was raised to assist the family of Trooper Bo Stephen who was killed in a traffic crash October 11, 2019.
Offshore, the World’s Largest Rooftop Deck located at Navy Pier, is hosting a series of events throughout August to keep locals enjoying the outdoors, safely. From sunset paint and sips to floral arrangement classes outside, Offshore continues to operate under the city of Chicago's Phase 4 re-opening guidelines assisted by the Illinois Restaurant Association. All groups are required to be 6 feet apart, and employees and staff are required to wear masks at all times. Offshore also requires all guests to wear a mask upon entry, exit, and movement around the space and throughout the events.
