The Indiana State Police is now accepting applications for the 81st Recruit Academy.

Three Indiana Conservation Officers were recently promoted to serve as district commanders for respective operational districts 5, 8 and 9 by Col. Steve Hunter, director of the DNR Division of Law Enforcement.

The promoted conservation officers, each of whom now holds the rank of lieutenant, were Cpl. Dale Clark (District 5), Officer Matt Pearcy (District 8), and Cpl. Brandon Shoults. Each will oversee and supervise the operations, budget and administration of their respective districts.

Indiana Conservation Officer Matt Landis has been selected as the 2020 District 5 Officer of the Year.
