***** Highly Recommended ***** The Yard at Chicago Shakespeare Theatre is rocking with the return of” “Q Brothers Christmas Carol”.  IMPORTANT NOTE: this is not “A Christmas Carol” as Dickens wrote it.  The Q Brothers Collective (GQ, JQ, Jax and Pos) have yanked Ebenezer Scrooge and the gang into the 21st century!  I’ve seen this cheeky, snarky, funny and very, very original musical every year (and twice last year – but that’s another story) since it premiered in 2013 as a developmental work-in-progress (that’s 6 years!), and it still makes me laugh!  It’s become my very own holiday tradition!  4 BIG Holiday Spotlights    

The next session of Life Drawing Open Studio will be held on Wednesday, December 18th, from 6-9 p.m. at the Chesterton Art Center.

The Chesterton Art Center will be hosting the December Cookies and Canvas on Friday, December 13. Children ages 3-7 can attend from 5-6:30, and ages 8 & up can attend from 7-8:30

Leona Jurincie will be teaching a Prismacolor Colored Pencil Holiday Night Scene Workshop on Saturday, December 14 from 10-4 at the Chesterton Art Center.

Paramount Theatre and Paramount School of the Arts announce the following special events in December and January, adding more fun and excitement to its holiday season production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast:

The Chesterton Art Center will host the Duneland Photography Club during the months of December and January. This exhibit titled, "Photo Memories in Focus" will include work from approximately 19 members of the Duneland Photography Club. Even though the show is during the Holiday Season, not all work is holiday or winter-themed. Instead, the group will be presenting work that would make unique gifts.
