Elmhurst Art Museum reopens following coronavirus shutdown with trio of new fall exhibitions including Art in the Post, a community art response to current events, and Wright Before the “Lloyd”, celebrating the architectural accomplishments of Frank Lloyd Wright
- Art in the Post, open September 8 – November 22, 2020, displays postcard artwork created and submitted by community members reflecting on COVID-19, racial injustices and other current events
- Wright Before the “Lloyd”, open September 8, 2020 – January 3, 2021, features images and artifacts that portray the eclectic, early explorations of one of the world’s greatest architects and is curated by Chicago’s official cultural historian Tim Samuelson
- A Space Problem, now open in Mies van der Rohe’s McCormick House through November 15, 2020, features iconic mid-century furnishings and décor by local and national artists, organized by Chicago artist David Salkin
