Munster Police Officer Jonathan Hernandez was honored this week as the American Legion’s Officer of the Year for the State of Indiana.
Officer Hernandez had recently been named as the American Legion’s Officer of the Year for our district and attended the state ceremony where he was announced as the state-wide winner. He is also a past Munster PD Officer of the Year Award winner and serves as a field training officer and a member of the department’s Honor Guard.
