
The Superintendent of the Indiana State Police, Anthony Scott, recently announced the promotion of Master Trooper Timothy A. Grayson to the rank of Sergeant. Sergeant Grayson will serve as an Employment Services Recruiting Coordinator.
Grayson, who is originally from Gary, Indiana, is a 1990 graduate of Emerson High School, and in 1994, he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology from Indiana State University. On October 24, 2004 he graduated from the 64th Indiana State Police Recruit Academy and was appointed as a Trooper assigned to the Indiana State Police Post in Lowell, where he served for six years.
In 2011, Grayson was transferred to the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division (CVED) to serve as a CVED officer until 2017. From 2017 until 2025 he served as a School Bus inspector in Area I, being responsible for the oversight and compliance for 69 school organizations in the northwest region of Indiana.
Grayson, his wife, and youngest son are residents of Porter County. Grayson’s two older sons and their families reside in Lake County.
