Our Wildlife Rehabilitation & Education Center is still recovering from the severe storms that swept through Northwest Indiana earlier this week, but thanks to your incredible support, our team has never stopped caring for the animals who need us most.
Thursday, our Senior Director of Wildlife, Nicole Harmon, spoke with FOX 32 Chicago about the damage to our property, the challenges our team is facing, and our commitment to providing lifesaving care for Indiana's injured and orphaned wildlife. Because of your generosity, we've already raised nearly $10,000 toward an estimated $25,000 in storm-related repairs, including replacing damaged animal enclosures and removing hazardous trees throughout the property. Every gift is helping us move one step closer to restoring our center.
Even as we rebuild, wildlife continues to arrive. Since Monday's storms alone, we've admitted 46 new patients, bringing the total number of animals currently in our care to more than 400.
