Tippecanoe County - On May 6, 2025, just before 9:30 p.m., Trooper Farmer was patrolling Interstate 65 near the 173 mile marker when he attempted to stop a 2009 Kawasaki sports bike for traveling over 90 miles per hour in a 65 mph zone. The driver, later identified as Sammy Allen, 20, of West Lafayette, Indiana, failed to stop and fled northbound on I-65.
The pursuit continued northbound to the 201 mile marker, where the motorcycle exited I-65 onto U.S. 24. The driver continued westbound on U.S. 24 until near County Road 380 West, where the motorcycle left the roadway and attempted to flee through a field. The pursuit ended shortly after, and Allen was taken into custody.
After further investigation, Trooper Farmer developed probable cause to believe Allen was under the influence of both alcohol and a narcotic. As a result, Allen was taken into custody and transported to the Tippecanoe County Jail.
