It’s been a half century since Marriott Lincolnshire Resort and Marriott Theatre emerged on the scene.
Resort personnel recently marked that monumental debut with a 50th Anniversary Celebration on the grounds of the resort. The evening event was jam packed with a variety of attractions, entertainment, culinary opportunities and more.

Cuisine starring at the party included Open Faced Braised Lamb Sloppy Joes, Miami Vice Cocktails and Dirt & Worm Shooters playfully themed to the 80s as well as 90s-themed food such as Sizzling Fajitas, Cosmopolitans and Chocolate Lava Cake. For a taste of 2010s-themed offerings, guests could try Mac & Cheese Remix, Moscow Mules and Macarons.
Emcee for the celebration was Mike Caplan from Fox 32 Chicago who helped in celebrating the history of the destination resort. During the celebration, attendees had the opportunity to win prizes, see a display of costumes from Marriott Theatre productions and even write their own memories of being at the resort and venue through the years. Pieces of paper with guest memories were then hung on a board for others to see.
