
Troopers assigned to the Lowell Post were on high alert this past Labor Day weekend for aggressive and impaired drivers. As a result, several drivers were cited for reckless driving due to extremely high speeds. Following too closely, unsafe lane changes, operating while intoxicated and passenger restraint violations were also cited at a higher rate than other offenses. A brief summary of the weekend’s activity is below.

This list is a snapshot of the activity that our Troopers enforced during the weekend. Troopers wrote over 230 citations and 265 warnings during this time. Among the criminal charges that were filed were the following offenses- Neglect of a Dependent, Invasion of Privacy, and Drug Possession.
