Need to Know:

Tune In to Virtual Storytime

The librarians your kids know and love are having storytime on YouTube 5 days a week (with a bonus Book Break on Sundays!)

Tune in to our YouTube channel at 10:30 AM Tuesday through Saturday, and 3:00 PM on Sunday to enjoy some books and simple rhymes. You can also watch previous storytimes!

  • Tuesdays & Saturdays: Picture Book Storytime
  • Wednesdays: Mother Goose on the Loose (birth to 24 months)
  • Thursdays: Middle Grade Book Tasting
  • Fridays: Book Breaks! (Longer picture book readings)
  • Bonus Book Break: Sundays, 3:00 PM

Town Hall with Your Reps

Several Indiana House representatives are hosting virtual town hall meetings in March. This is a chance to meet your reps and hear their plans for the issues that matter to you!  Click the dates to get your invite.

  • March 5, 12 PM: Hal Slager (Represents Dyer, Schererville, and Griffith (District 15))
  • March 12, 12 PM: Mike Andrade (Represents Highland, Munster, and Griffith (District 12))
  • March 26, 12 PM: Julie Olthoff (Represents Hobart and Crown Point (District 19), co-hosted with Crown Point Community Library)

Question: When will English classes start up again?

Answer: English as a Second Language classes are back, and they are now hosted on Zoom!

Our next class begins March 1. Class meets for 4 weeks on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30 - 7 PM. Class materials and the Zoom login info will be emailed to students who have signed up. Classes are free!
