Powers Health and Orthopedic Specialists of Northwest Indiana (OSNI) recently opened their new, state-of-the art orthopedic ambulatory surgery center in Crown Point.
The Joint & Spine Center at Powers Health serves as a regional destination for patients seeking exceptional orthopedic and spine care. Conveniently located at 201 E. 101st Ave., the 11,000-square-foot facility offers a range of orthopedic procedures in a modern, comfortable environment. Services include hip and knee replacements, minimally invasive spine procedures and robotic-assisted joint replacement surgery, as well as shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand and foot and ankle care.
“I know that when patients come here for joint replacements, spine procedures or treatment of other joint injuries, they will appreciate the convenience and efficiency of the center,” said Michael Knesek, MD, one of the fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeons who treats patients at the Joint & Spine Center. “Our goal is to get patients moving again.”
The Joint & Spine Center is located on the same campus as Powers Health Rehabilitation Center and the soon-to-open Cancer Care Center, creating a medical hub for the community. The Joint & Spine Center features spacious patient admission area; eight holding rooms for pre-operative care; two spacious, modern surgical suites; one minor procedures room; minimally invasive surgery options, including a post-operative recovery area with a private patient exit; private consultation room; two nurses stations; sterile corridor and sterile processing department; linear diffusers that direct airflow for infection control; and radiant heating panels.
