Dear Friends,
I'm watching lots of films these days. Just one way to pass the time. I imagine you and many others are doing the same, maybe during those moments when you need a bit of entertainment to get through a very strange hiatus.
If there's any silver lining for me, it's that I've stumbled upon some incredible stuff lately—short films, archival footage. Pretty much anything I might have otherwise overlooked.
Video is cool that way. It connects us to the distant, to stories and experiences we may not have the benefit of experiencing in person, whether it's a classical ballet or me broadcasting to you from the comfort of my living room.
Thankfully our digital world makes the distant feel a little more accessible. I think about that when I'm making videos of my own. I want people to feel what I feel. I want people to forget their troubles and enjoy my quirks, my wistfulness, my imagination.
It's no live performance, but it's something in the meantime.
We'll see you at the theater soon enough. Until then, stay safe and keep washing your hands!
