
The Indiana Arts Commission (IAC) is now accepting applications for The Creative Leap, a new workshop series focused on business strategy for creative entrepreneurs in Indiana. This series covers strategic planning in an application-based content format to support established creative businesses and will be led by Dr. Elaine Grogan Luttrull of Minerva Financial Arts.
The Creative Leap is comprised of four virtual workshops in July and August. The program is designed to support established creative entrepreneurs in Indiana accomplish financial and marketing goals for their artistic practice by deepening their business strategy. Up to fifteen creative business owners will be selected for the cohort. Selected members who participate in the full workshop series and subsequent coaching sessions will receive a $1,000 honorarium to put toward purchasing business resources that have been identified during the series to accompany their newly developed business strategy.
The Creative Leap is designed for creative entrepreneurs who have been in business for a minimum of five to seven years looking to inject strategic energy into their existing practice.
In the fall of 2023, the Indiana Arts Commission launched a statewide Artist Needs Assessment to inform new and refined services and programming for artists and creative small businesses in Indiana. The Creative Leap was designed to meet needs identified by the assessment process, including a need for marketing support and education and a need for networking and connection among small businesses.
“Indiana’s creative entrepreneurs strengthen our economy,” said Jordan Adams, IAC Artists Services Manager. “The Indiana Arts Commission is excited to invest in these Hoosier small businesses and help artists take the next step in their careers through The Creative Leap.”
The deadline to apply to participate in The Creative Leap is June 13, 2025.
