After playing Division III baseball and going undrafted, Dugan Darnell stepped away from the game to work in finance in Chicago.
He later returned through the Gary SouthShore RailCats, eventually signing with the Rockies. Climbing the ranks from Single-A, he worked his way up through the minors.
Recently, he made his MLB debut and earned the win in the Rockies’ 17-16 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates.
He's the 60th AAPB alum to reach the majors, and one of nine currently on MLB rosters.
