Their term of office is for the duration of the organization’s 71st season starting on July 1, 2020 and ending on June 30, 2021.
Chris West, the new President is somewhat of a new member of the organization but has proven himself by his work as Manager of the Building, Lighting, and Sound Departments along with being the committee chairman for the Local Theater Talent Pool. He was the recipient of the President’s Award in 2018/2019 season. He is joined by the returning officers, Laura Meyer, Bill Wild, Denise Barkow, and Jan Rice. The position of Secretary goes to Tom LeDonne, and the new Board Member at Large is Bobbi Ann Lauritsen. They now have the daunting task of getting the theater operating again after suspending operations on March 13 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The organization is hoping to open their 71st Season with STEEL MAGNOLIAS the first 2 weekends in September, followed by THE MIRACLE ON SOUTH DIVISION STREET in November, JERRY’S GIRLS in February, DRINKING HABITS in April and ending the season with THE SOUND OF MUSIC in June. The theater will follow recommended guidelines to insure their staff and audiences are safe. Their annual Patron Drive is currently on and the group could use your financial aid at this time due the loss of revenue for the canceled productions this past season.
