Chicago Fire FC will kick off a three-game home stretch against the Columbus Crew on Saturday at Soldier Field. The match against Columbus will be the first of three games in eight days along the lakefront, marking the longest run of home games for the Club this season.

Chicago’s match against Columbus will kick off at 7:00 p.m. CT on Saturday, July 9, and will be broadcast on WGN and CF97 Live and will be transmitted locally in Spanish on TUDN 1200AM.

The Fire (4-9-5, 17 points) are looking to extend their undefeated home streak to three games after hosting and defeating the Philadelphia Union 1-0 on Wednesday, June 29, and winning 1-0 against D.C. United on Saturday, June 18 at Soldier Field. The team is returning from San Jose, where the Fire fell 2-1 against the San Jose Earthquakes at PayPal Park in a match that saw Homegrown midfielder Brian Gutiérrez score his first career Major League Soccer goal.

Columbus (5-5-7, 22 points) travels to Chicago after playing the Philadelphia Union to a scoreless draw at Lower.com Field. It will be the first encounter between the two Eastern Conference rivals this season and the 72nd meeting overall, with the Fire registering a 17-6-13 record at home (27-22-22 overall). It will also be the first time Ezra Hendrickson faces off against the Crew, where he served as an assistant coach under Caleb Porter from 2019-2021 before becoming head coach of the Chicago Fire ahead of the 2022 season.
