Fest in the First is a one-day outdoor community street festival held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, in the Miller Beach neighborhood of Gary, IN.
The festival has partnered again with the Miller Beach Arts & Creative District to create an Arts Corridor at the heart of Lake Street - the neighborhood business corridor. We aim to provide a venue for artists of high quality in arts and crafts to showcase their work to the community.
In its 22nd year, the Festival features food vendors, multiple bands on an outdoor stage, art activities, games, and rides for kids and families. Last year's festival had a record attendance of 1500!
The MBACD is offering booth space for $50 (or two artists sharing a booth for $75).
Apply before July 30 to be a part of this new event on Lake Street.
