The dispatch center at the Lowell Post handles emergency calls in Northwest Indiana. These men and women rapidly respond by dispatching appropriate emergency personnel to a wide variety of requests. They are the calming voice for those who call 911, as well as the calming voice for first responders requesting assistance via radio. A dispatcher's ability to multi-task is nothing short of amazing and their compassion for their duty is commendable.
The Indiana State Police Lowell Regional Dispatch Center consists of 18 dispatchers who cover the center 24/7. They work tirelessly throughout all hours of the day and night to ensure emergency help is available when needed. When asked for comment, Regional Dispatch Center Manager Trevor Stevens stated, “I would like to acknowledge the hard work and sacrifices made by our staff. Their dedication to public service is commendable.” Lieutenant Terry Gose also said, “Our dispatchers are highly trained, effective and amazing individuals. Their dedication to their profession is to be acknowledged and appreciated.”
