The Footlight Players will present a fresh new comedy, FOUR OLD BROADS written by Leslie Kimbell, October 7th through the 9th and the following weekend October 13th through the 16th.

The 2021 Frontier League Champion Schaumburg Boomers dropped a rain-shortened contest to the Quebec Capitales in the final game of the weekend series as the hosts grabbed a 7-1 victory in five innings to take the series.

The Gary SouthShore RailCats did not have luck on their side at the plate as the Winnipeg Goldeyes pitched their way to a 3-0 victory in the series finale.

***** Highly Recommended ***** There just aren’t enough superlatives!  The 50th Anniversary Tour of "Jesus Christ Superstar" is a must-see!  I have loved the music of "Jesus Christ Superstar" since I first heard the album back in the’70s. I loved it so much I got a babysitter so I could see the first touring production in 1971!  In fact, any time "JCS" is playing in the greater Chicago area, I’m there!  Don’t miss it!  4 Spotlights   

**** Highly Recommended **** Northlight Theatre’s production of "Dear Jack, Dear Louise" is one of the best plays I’ve seen this year!  Advance reading about the play intrigued me, but I wasn’t sure how the concept would translate to the stage.  I didn’t want to see a clone of Love Letters - two people dispassionately reading side by side.    I’m happy to say that Ken Ludwig’s tribute to his parents is a fully realized play which is nostalgic, deeply personal yet historically resonant.  4 BIG Spotlights
