On January 20, 2026, just after 3:15 p.m., Indiana State Police responded to a single vehicle fatal crash on Interstate 65 southbound near the 174 mile marker.

On January 20, 2026, at approximately 3:45 p.m., Indiana State Police responded to a three vehicle fatal crash involving commercial motor vehicles on Interstate 65 southbound near the 176 mile marker.
On January 19, 2026, at approximately 11:17 a.m., Indiana State Police Dispatch began to receive calls of crashes involving multiple vehicles blocking eastbound lanes of the Indiana Toll Road near mile marker 67. At the time of this incident the area was receiving snow and windy conditions that created severely limited visibility and caused the road to be very slick and icy.
The Indiana State Police Lafayette District is saddened to announce the passing of retired K-9 Jordy, who passed away Saturday, January 17th due to medical reasons.
