Chicago Fire FC II (6-3-5-4) lost 5-1 at Crown Legacy FC (6-5-3-2) Sunday night in North Carolina.

It was Bark in the Park day at the US Steel Yard as the Gary SouthShore RailCats looked to salvage a win and not get swept by the Winnipeg Goldeyes.

The Schaumburg Boomers used a five-run fifth inning to surge past the Joliet Slammers and break a four-game skid with a 9-3 win in the final game of the weekend series on Sunday.

Chicago Fire FC (4-10-6, 18 points) fell 2-1 to Seattle Sounders FC (7-7-7, 28 points) on Saturday night at Lumen Field.

The Fire took the lead in the 30th minute of play, but the home side scored from the penalty spot on two occasions in the second half, including in the third minute of second half stoppage time. Winger Maren Haile-Selassie scored the lone goal for the Fire, tallying his fourth of the season.

The Schaumburg Boomers allowed five runs in the first inning, three with two outs, and fell behind 11-0 in suffering a 14-5 defeat at the hands of the Joliet Slammers on Saturday night at Wintrust Field.

Back at the Steel Yard for another matchup against the Winnipeg Goldeyes. The RailCats had been defeated the day before 9-0 and it was time for Gary to start their pitcher of the week, Peyton Long.

Coming off their eighth win in their last ten games, the RailCats were back at home to host the Winnipeg Goldeyes.
