The Superintendent of the Indiana State Police, Anthony M. Scott, has announced the promotion of Sergeant Jason E. Sample to the rank of First Sergeant.

Friday morning, the Indiana State Police SWAT Team and Detectives with the Indiana State Police Investigation Division Lowell Post were requested by the Illinois State Police to assist with the apprehension of a suspect involved in an interstate shooting that had recently occurred in Illinois.
